JHM was founded in 2008 by award winning international journalist and broadcaster, Joanne Griffith. In her career, Joanne has hosted and produced content for the BBC, NPR and the Pacifica Radio Archives. Jane Hannah Media is named after Joanne’s great, great grandmother.

Now a resident of Los Angeles, Joanne hosts a weekly show for the BBC based  on the historic audio held in the Pacifica Radio Archives. She’s also the author of the upcoming non-fiction book “Redefining Black Power in the Age of Obama.”
